Foundation plants 450 trees in Kano Community

The Babangida Charity Foundation has launch its 2026 tree-planting campaign with planting and distribution of 450 tree seedlings in Romi community, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The exercise, held on Thursday, was attended by community leaders and residents, who participated in the planting of the seedlings as part of efforts to promote environmental sustainability and combat climate change.

The seedlings distributed included cashew, neem, moringa, mahogany, eucalyptus (turare) and Panshana species.

The foundation said the initiative was aimed at encouraging tree planting, improving environmental conservation and enhancing the livelihoods of communities.

It expressed appreciation to the Kano State Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Climate Change for donating the tree seedlings used for the exercise.

The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting environmental protection initiatives through sustained tree-planting campaigns across communities in the state.
