‎The Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KCPC) has commended Amasco International Company for its commitment to regulatory compliance and consumer protection.

The Executive Secretary of the council, Dr Ibrahim Garba Muhammad, gave the commendation during an inspection visit to the company to assess its operations and measures for ensuring product quality and safeguarding consumers’ rights.

Muhammad said the visit was aimed at gaining first-hand knowledge of the company’s operations and assessing measures put in place to ensure that its products met required standards and complied with relevant regulations.

‎He stressed the need for manufacturers to ensure that products released into the market met prescribed quality and safety requirements.

The executive secretary also emphasised the importance of monitoring materials and chemical substances used in production to protect consumers and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

‎He urged Amasco to strengthen its collaboration with the council and maintain strict adherence to laws and regulations governing the production, distribution and sale of products in Kano State.

‎Earlier, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Amasco, Engr. Ibrahim Mustapha, commended the council for its efforts in monitoring products sold to the public.

Mustapha said such regulatory activities would help businesses improve their operations and sustain consumer confidence, particularly in the production and marketing of engine oil and other related products.

‎He reaffirm the company’s commitment to producing quality products and complying with applicable standards and regulations to maintain the confidence of consumers, government and business partners.

The GMD said the company would continue to work diligently to ensure that Amasco remained a source of pride to its consumers and stakeholders.

‎At the end of the visit, the company’s management took KCPC officials on a tour of its facilities, including its laboratories, where they observed processes for testing and verifying product quality before the products were released to the market.
